On June 28, a significant fossil specimen donation ceremony was held at the Fujian Yingliang Stone Natural History Museum, organized by the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). Associate Professor Tian Li and Dr. Sun Xin from the School of Earth Sciences donated two specimens of the largest gastropod fossils from the Triassic scientific record—the Bouchardia from the Qingyan Fauna—making an important contribution to science popularization education.

During the donation ceremony, Niu Kecheng, Executive Director of the museum, accepted the donation on behalf of the museum and presented a donation certificate to China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). Director Niu warmly welcomed Associate Professor Tian Li and Dr. Sun Xin and expressed gratitude for their generous donation. The Qingyan Fauna, a typical representative of the recovery of marine life after the Permian-Triassic extinction event, holds significant importance for understanding the evolution of life on Earth. The donated Bouchardia fossils will enhance the museum's exhibition of Triassic paleontological specimens and provide the public with an opportunity to learn more about the Qingyan Fauna up close.
Following the ceremony, the faculty and students from China University of Geosciences were accompanied by Director Niu on a tour of the museum's Natural History Hall, Fossil and Mineral Restoration Laboratory, and Global Stone Resource Center, Warehouse No. 5.

This donation ceremony not only deepened the friendship and cooperation between China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and the Fujian Yingliang Stone Natural History Museum but also contributed to the advancement of science popularization education. In the future, the Fujian Yingliang Stone Natural History Museum looks forward to continuing to deepen cooperation with higher education institutions in the fields of science popularization education and scientific exploration, jointly exploring the mysteries of Earth sciences and bringing more scientific knowledge and inspiration to the public.
